The Pittsburgh Major Taylor 8th Annual, McDermott 3-State Tour

Our annual fundraiser ride which allows us to provide bikes and cycling instruction to at-risk youth was renamed in 2016 in remembrance of our member Micheal McDermott who played an integral role in the Major Force Youth Cycling Program.

 RIDE DESCRIPTION

Ride Date: July 15th, 2018.

The 2018 PMTCC McDermott 3-State Tour (M3ST) is a bicycle ride starting in Southwest Pennsylvania and after a spin around downtown Pittsburgh, heads west, entering into the states of West Virginia and Ohio.

This is a scenic road ride with a few long hill climbs, rolling hills and some flat roads.

This year we have three routes, a new 33 mile (3 rivers tour), 62 mile (metric century) and a new 100 mile century.

Rest stops and a full lunch (for the 62 & 100) will be provided along with SAG support and ride marshals on all routes.

Long-sleeve T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 registrants and all century ride finishers will receive medals.

Cost of Registration

Online pre-registration for the McDermott 3-State Tour is $50 for the 100 mile century ride, $50 for the 62-mile ride and $45 for the 33-mile ride. Event day registration is $60. The first 100 riders who pre-register for either of the rides will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt.

JERSEYS:

Go in style! Get your very own McDermott 3-State Tour bicycle jersey. The jerseys are made by Aero Tech Designs in Pittsburgh. The cost of a jersey is $75. Sizing for the bicycle jerseys runs big so it is suggested to size down if you want a form fit.
